I got back a couple of days ago from a Mission Trip to Florida with my Church. Talk about an awesome community - I would love to see our community that on fire for God.
Just for example one day we were cleaning out some old storage spaces the church had, we were giving things away that the church couldn't use anymore (and people were taking the stuff too, it was great to see people jumping in to help us). There was this one guy in particular that helped us for almost 2 hours because we gave him a few old bikes he said he'd wanted. Things like that really change the way I look at people - communities are so strong when there put together with the right motives.
I joined First Baptist Dallas today, I have been going there for almost 1 1/2 years and it's about time I joined. It feels great to be a part of a group now, now I'm really a part of First Baptist Dallas.
Tonight the guys from the mission trip are coming over and Jon's making taco's for everybody when they get here. I hope we can keep having a good time of fellowship, building eachother up as much fun as we have. This group of guys could really be a good community if we keep growing together.
