Duty of the Christian concerning pornography

Posted by Caleb Fleming |

It is the duty of the Christian and the organizations he is involved in that they denounce the idols of this world and note the rebellious state of the people of God. Acting in full force to remove the presence of the idol of pornography, as it is a disproponent of the advancement of the heart in relation to the love of God.

I. The Lord is the primary rule setter
The Lord Says: "You shall have no other gods before me." Dt. 5:7

"Therefore as surely as I live, declares the sovereign Lord, because you have defiled my sanctuary with all your vile images, and detestable practices, I myself will withdraw my favor; I will not look on you with pity or spare you." Ezekiel 5:11

"The Lord said to me, "Son of man, these are the men whoa re plotting evil and giving wicked advice in this city. They say, ' Will it not soon be time to build houses? This city is a cooking pot and we are the meat.'" Ezekiel 11:3
-These people saw themselves as a chosen remnant, when in reality they were evil in the eyes of the Lord.

II. Worship is 'adoration or devotion comparable to religious homage, shown toward a person or principle'

By continually returning to pornography we worship it - therefore putting an idol between God and ourselves. God killed many people in Ezekiel’s time when they put up 'vile images' before God.

"When I say to a wicked man, 'You will surely die,' and you do not warn him or speak out to dissuade him from his evil ways in order to save his life, that wicked man will die for his sin, and I will hold you accountable for his blood. But if you do warn the wicked man and he does not turn from his wickedness or from his evil ways he will die for his sin; but you will have saved yourself." Ezekiel 3:18-19

Even the most righteous must have interaction with the unclean. For what is righteousness on earth without a notion to show the path of deliverance from death to those fearful, or unknowing of the consequences of their actions. This must be done out of care for the other person, and not for the salvation of the righteous.

I say, the man who calls himself saved, having the righteousness of Christ cover his sins, that has no heart for the unrighteous and no desire to show the faults of their ways to them not only does he misunderstand the love of Christ that found him, but he condemns himself. This man is morally reputed, he who hoards the gift he has that will only flourish when shared.

Please post comments here - am i missing something? or does this sound complete to everyone else too?
